Welcome To Govt. Polytechnic, Talwar

Govt. Polytechnic Talwar came into existence in the year 2008 to impart technical training leading to diploma level certificate. Two diploma courses viz. Civil Engg. and Automobile Engg. are offered by the Polytechnic. The Institute is located near Palampur town at distance 60 km (approx.) H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board conducts the examinations of all the courses run by the institute and awards the diploma to the students on successful completion of the course . Frequent house tests ,class tests, seminars, projects and Industrial visits etc. are carried out for comprehensive and continuous evaluation of the student.

Participation in 19th H.P. Inter Polytechnic Athletic cum Cultural Meet held at Sundernagar in Feb. / March 2014 with following achievements :
- Surender Pal 6th Sem. Civil Engg. secured Gold medal in 5000 meters
- Savita 4th Sem. Civil Engg. secured Gold medal in 400 meters
- Gopal 2nd Sem. Civil Engg. secured Solo folk song 3rd position
- Group dance / Folk dance 3rd postion
- Mr. Shubham winner of best player award in Basketball Championship
